Heavy menstruation

A heavy period & Difficulty letting go? A combination that I encounter remarkably often, both in my own process of personal development and with friends and clients. What I mean by a heavy period is losing a lot of blood or for a long time and or a lot of pain and cramps, or in the worst case you even suffer from Endometriosis.

A heavy period & Difficulty letting go?
A combination that I encounter remarkably often, both in my own process of personal development and with friends and clients.

What I mean by a heavy period is losing a lot of blood or for a long time and either a lot of pain and cramps, or in the worst case you even suffer from Endometriosis.

My philosophy with a heavy period is that it is difficult for you to let go energetically, emotionally or mentally. As a result, the body has to overcompensate so that (although not ideal) the female system remains more or less balanced. I see this Principle confirmed again and again in situations I encounter.

Endometriosis

In Endometriosis it is (in my opinion) so extreme that the mucous membrane that normally builds up on the inside of the uterus during the cycle also develops outside the uterus. This tissue must also be released, while organs have become stuck by this tissue, which causes enormous pain due to internal bleeding. A false solution seems to give hormones, where the cycle does not occur, but the tissue remains present. I see it as extremely important that if the symptoms are so extreme, you learn to work according to your cycle, even if you are currently taking hormones, this is very important to pick up long before you decide to stop.

Your feminine body is screaming at you: TAKE REST!!!

If you are experiencing such problems, it is extremely important to learn to recognize and appreciate your female cycle. I always recommend menstruating women to keep a menstrual calendar.

Shayna, is an expert in this area, and if this feels important to you, I recommend you join her online program: www.emvrouwerment.nl, and purchase her e-book.

If you are more aware of your cycle, you can adjust your lifestyle accordingly; For example, it is very important to slow down, relax more and work less hard in the week before your period.

A heavy menstruation and the yoni egg

If you suffer from heavy menstruation, it is really important to adapt as many aspects of your life as possible to the more active half of your cycle (YANG) and the more passive half of your cycle (YIN). . Working cyclically with a yoni egg can strengthen this attunement.

It is good to do constructive, vigorous exercises in the period between the end of your period and until you ovulate (2 weeks before you expect your next period to start), imagining that you are generating energy and pull-ups YANG exercises. In the period after ovulation until your period starts, work with relaxing releasing exercises YIN exercises, also regularly lie in bed or on the couch with a hot water bottle on your vulva (or between your legs). A yoni steam is also recommended in the days before your period.

Also make sure that you adapt your diet to your cycle, try to eat a detoxifying diet at least a week before your period, with lots of vegetables and fruit, and as few animal products as possible.

Practice asking for support in the days before and during your period, this is crucial to restore your internal balance, and to learn to let go more on an emotional, mental and spiritual level, so that your body has to compensate less extremely .
